The second story is a servant’s apartment. The ground floor is two rooms, one being the kitchen. To the right of the kitchen was the bedroom. The bed was built along one side of the wall. To the left of the kitchen was the pantry with stairs up to the kitchen. The rooms above are the hall, parlor and bedroom. The hall had a fireplace with stairs down to the basement. The parlor had a fireplace and the bedroom had a window and staircase down to the basement. There was also a kitchen. The basement was finished as living room with stairs down to the kitchen. The kitchen had a fireplace with stairs up to the basement. The house was built as a duplex by James Prince who rented the property to his sister Helen Prince. Helen Prince sold the property in 1856.
